Delaware Valley Sisters in Crime (DVSinC), a local chapter of national Sisters in Crime (SinC), is a mystery writers and readers group that includes women, and sometimes men, who live in southern New Jersey, Delaware, Philadelphia, and surrounding areas of Pennsylvania. Our membership is composed of mystery readers as well as writers. Many are published authors, while others have manuscripts in various stages of completion. Our doors are open to anyone who loves to settle in with a good book — especially an absorbing mystery, crime, or suspense novel. We are a non-profit organization dedicated to helping our authors and aspiring authors further their careers and to giving our reader-members an inside peek into the thrilling world of mystery-writing.

Delaware Valley Sisters in Crime Mission Statement

The mission of Sisters in Crime (SinC) and all of its chapters is to promote the ongoing advancement, recognition, and professional development of women crime writers. Sisters in Crime is an international organization founded in 1986 and currently made up of more than 3,000 members in 48 chapters, worldwide — authors, readers, publishers, agents, booksellers, librarians, and others who love mysteries. In 2017, Sisters in Crime (SinC) celebrated its 30th year of opening doors to strengthen the voice of women in the mystery field.
