GENERAL MEETING AGENDA

Our mingle-and-book-browsing session begins at 9:30 a.m. To raise a bit of extra money for our coffers, we ask members to donate mysteries they have already read, and then we resell them at a nominal fee. We are prolific readers, so there are always many books from which to choose.

Our main session begins at approximately 9:45 a.m. and includes a business meeting, a “mentoring” session, during which we discuss some aspect of the writing craft, and a guest speaker from outside the group.

Our guest speakers offer insight into various occupations and procedures that are as interesting to our reader-members as they are to our writers. In the past, we have had the privilege of welcoming judges, forensic anthropologists, coroners, fire investigators, cyber-crime sleuths, FBI agents, and all manner of fascinating guest speakers. Our speakers engage in lively discussions with our members and guests and often join us for lunch following the meeting.

The meeting adjourns at noon, when we invariably go out for lunch at a local restaurant. Anyone who attends a meeting is welcome and encouraged to join us.

Please note: The activities of DVSinC are not sponsored by the Tredyffrin Public Library.
